Precautions for Transportation and Storage of Aluminum Pellets

Ⅰ. How to distinguish iodine and aluminum pellets?

Iodine is a purple-black shiny flaky crystal with an atomic number of 53, and the natural isotope is iodine-127 with 74 neutrons. Iodine has a high vapor pressure, and it sublimates under slight heat. The pure iodine vapor is dark blue, and if it contains air, it is purple-red and has a pungent odor. Aluminum pellets are also known as aluminum shots and aluminum sands. Aluminum pellets are refined by repeated drawing, cutting, grinding and other processes of aluminum ingots containing 99% aluminum. The appearance is bright and cylindrical, and it is applied to the surface of aluminum, zinc or thin-walled workpieces. . Aluminum pellets are widely used in automobiles, airplanes, shipbuilding, containers, machinery manufacturing, metal casting, metal surface treatment and other industries. The products are known as "beauticians on metal surfaces".

Ⅱ. Precautions for the transportation and storage of aluminum pellets

When the aluminum pellets are transported, the transportation vehicles should be equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment, and the exhaust pipes of the vehicles carrying the aluminum pellets must be equipped with fire prevention devices. During transportation, ensure that the container does not leak, collapse, fall, or be damaged. It is strictly forbidden to mix and transport aluminum pellets with oxidants, acids, halogens, edible chemicals, etc. The aluminum pellets should be protected from exposure to sunlight, rain, and high temperature during transportation. Stay away from fire and heat sources during stopovers. Transport vehicles and ships must be dry and have good rainproof facilities.

Tips for safe storage of aluminum pellets:

1. The product should be separated from fire source, heat source, water, acid, alkali, oxidant and corrosive products when in use.

2. The packaging of aluminum pellets should be able to be sealed at any time.

3. If you need to use a caravan to transport aluminum pellets. When loading and unloading, do not throw, bump, or invert.

4. It should be stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse, not less than 1 meter away from heating and windows.
