What Are the Reasons for Using Al Wire? What Are the Characteristics of the Thermal Spraying Technology of Al Wire?

Ⅰ. Why is AL wire widely used?

Among many metals, aluminum wire has excellent functions and a wide range of applications. We often see many applications of aluminum wire in our daily lives. The most widely used is the wire in each household. This is because the conductive function of aluminum is second only to gold, silver and copper. However, the quotations of the first three are relatively high, while the market price of aluminum is low. To sum it up, using aluminum wire as a wire couldn't be more cost-effective.

AL wire is a common deoxidizer in modern steelmaking and production. The role of aluminum wire in steelmaking is to calm molten steel, inhibit the aging characteristics of low-carbon steel, reduce the notch sensitivity and ductile brittle transition temperature of steel.

Many metals will react chemically with acids, alkalis and other solutions, especially corrosive substances, but aluminum wires, aluminum pellets, aluminum blocks, aluminum ingots, aluminum beans and other metal aluminum products do not. This is because there is a fine oxide film on its surface, which can play a protective role and reduce its contact with corrosive substances. Therefore, aluminum is often used to manufacture various medical equipment, chemical reactors, refrigeration equipment and petroleum refining equipment, etc., and the application is excellent.

Ⅱ. What are the characteristics of the thermal spraying technology of AL wire?

1. The size and shape do not affect the effect of spraying. The thermal spraying technology of aluminum wire can be carried out on the surface of small partial profiles or on the surface of large aluminum profiles. This technology is both convenient and very economical for the process of spraying on the surface of aluminum wire.

2. The matrix material will not be deformed. Due to the low heating temperature of the parent material during spraying construction, the aluminum wire product hardly deforms.

3. The thickness of the coating can be varied in a large range, and the thickness formed by spraying can range from micrometers to millimeters.

4. It can be sprayed and formed. Thermal spraying technology can not only form a coating on the surface of the material, but also can be used to manufacture mechanical parts, that is, spray molded products.

Thermal spraying technology makes aluminum profiles such as aluminum blocks, aluminum wires, aluminum ingots, and aluminum beans have excellent corrosion resistance. In different atmospheric environments and different water quality, when the spraying thickness is only 0.08-0.4mm, the durability of the components can be guaranteed to reach more than 20 to 40 years. It is currently an ideal material for corrosion resistance.
